In Vehicle Shops you can buy vehicles.
What are the benefits of vehicles?
- With vehicles you can get from A to B faster than on foot.
- A vehicle has its own mining inventory (trunk), with which you can transport mining items (transfer from player mining inventory to vehicle mining inventory and back).
- A vehicle protects you from attacks, with its armor.
- Damage rules apply accordingly to which player, with which faction affiliation, sits in the vehicle as driver or passenger.
If there is a driver and a passenger in the vehicle, the damage rules of the driver apply. If there is only one passenger in the vehicle, the damage rules of the passenger apply.
If neither a driver nor a passenger is in a vehicle, the vehicle receives no weapon damage. Shots will then pass through the vehicle.
- Vehicles must be unlocked manually in some zones (example: PvP-Zones) and sometimes not (example: Save-Zones) - to do this, you must go to the appropriate driver's door or passenger door.
Example:
In PvP-Zones you have to manually unlock a vehicle you own to get in / out.
In Save-Zones, you do not have to manually unlock a vehicle you own to get in / out.
Note: If you own a vehicle (vehicle key), then when using the trunk, the vehicle never needs to be unlocked.
In other words, you always have access to the trunk even if the vehicle is locked (access at the back of the vehicle with the "F" key, with the "T" key or via the Radial menu with the "V" key).
- Vehicles do not have collision with player characters or vehicles.
Collision would be possible, but would result in massive gameplay restrictions, which would interfere with the gameplay.
Note: When you buy a vehicle, it has 100 armor by default. To increase the armor to the maximum possible value, drive the vehicle to a "Vehicle Repair Service Point".
What happens when a vehicle is destroyed?
The destroyed vehicle is completely deleted and is lost forever.
